Started With a Handshake and a Used Van
In 2009, Mike walked away from a steady paycheque at one of Kelowna's biggest plumbing outfits. Not because the work was bad — but because he kept hearing the same thing from homeowners: "Nobody answers the phone. Nobody shows up when they say they will."
He figured he could fix that. Sarah backed the idea, they maxed out a line of credit for a used van and some tools, and Summit Plumbing Co. was born out of a spare bedroom and a kitchen table covered in invoices.
The first year was all dripping faucets and clogged toilets — the jobs nobody else wanted. But Mike showed up on time, charged what he quoted, and cleaned up before he left. People noticed. They told their neighbours.
Fifteen years later, it's a team of 8, a workshop on Ellis Street, and a reputation that still runs on the same fuel: do what you say you're going to do.

From Kitchen Table to Crew of 8
Every milestone was earned the hard way — one fixed pipe at a time.
One Van, One Vision
Mike quit his job at a large plumbing outfit, bought a used Chevy Express, and started taking calls. Sarah handled the books from the kitchen table.
Growing By Referral
Word of mouth did its thing. The team expanded to 3 trucks and hired the first two apprentices. The kitchen table got replaced by a real office.
Sewer & Trenchless
Invested in camera inspection and trenchless pipe lining equipment, opening up a whole new side of the business without tearing up customers' yards.
A Place to Call Home
Moved into our current workshop on Ellis Street. Finally had room for parts inventory, a training area, and enough parking for the growing fleet.
3,000 Jobs Strong
Hit a milestone nobody was counting but everybody felt. Three thousand homes served, and most of our new calls still came from past customers.
8 Plumbers Deep
The team grew to 8 licensed plumbers. Two of those original apprentices from 2012? They're now senior leads running their own crews.
